Celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day!

by Surita Bhatia

In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, on Wednesday, March 8, CAS and the School of Communication and Journalism are hosting a screening of the film “Picture a Scientist,” which includes stories from biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, geologist Jane WIllenbring, and biomedical engineer Sangeeta Bhatia. Prof. Hopkins was the driving force behind the 1999 report “Study on the Status of Women Faculty in Science in MIT,” the first institutional self-study on disparities in working conditions between women and men science faculty. Details are below and on the attached flyer. Please feel free to distribute. All are welcome to attend!
